![]() My point however that it's usually fate fans who'll play for fate and it would be a bit harder to get into fgo as a game without any outside knowledge of the fate franchise or its story. ![]() In addition to only have consumed the anime side of the fate franchise and fgo. I myself want to, just don't have the time. Yes are correct but you also have to admit how complicated the story and timelines are so it shouldn't come to a shock that not all fans are willing to expand outside of the fate franchise and branch out into the nasuverse as well. But in comparison by size of honkai and genshin it's a lot easier to compare that way. I never mentioned anything about it being hard-core in itself but maybe yes, they may not be as loyal as I came across in my comment. On the other hand, the honkai side of the story I can say has that type of fan base fate has and is only overshadowed by the sheer size of the fate Fandom. I dont think genshin has the type of fan base fate has to allow star rail to succeed. In comparison to the fate fanbase who'll enjoy it simply because it's fate related. ![]() I in no way doubt that star rail will attract genshin players as well but it's not always a guarantee that they'll enjoy the genre. But that in comparison to that, honkai too has more of a anime fan base. Genshin does definitely have great story, that I can't deny that. Additionally means it has more loyal(?) Fanbase And for good reason with how lore dialogue in the game is saturated with unnecessary/unrelated dialogue lines.Ĭompare to Fate who's audience are more focused towards the story regardless of timeline which makes players of fgo play fgo for the characters and probably the story. Especially with the growing amount skip dialogue requests. The reason many people have played it, at least from what I gather, is for the gameplay more than the story. It being mainstream not only to anime enthusiasts and non-anime players as well. People know genshin for good and/or bad reasons through its popularity. Not only that, the story quality even in fgo itself has improved since launch. Like you mentioned, it's also have great number of characters and servants. Fate's franchise is simply massive due to the different story lines/timelines its created.
